Abstract

The paper aims to investigate the two concepts of space and time, their relationship and in particular the semantic duplicity of time of Greek origin, through Henri Bergson and Giovanni Morelli’s thoughts. The investigation into Bergsonian thought will be carried out in the light of some concept-images taken from Duration and Simultaneity and Thought and Movement drawn from the musical universe. To understand Morelli’s ideas, however, some consonances will be demonstrated between the way of characterizing κρόνος and καιρός, and two characters that he draws. Both authors, in fact, share the awareness of the human need for the spatialization of time.
