Degeneration of democracy and gaps in language. Reflections starting with Alberto Lucarelli, Populisms and democratic representation.

Abstract

Taking into account a recent book, the paper considers some analytical categories developed in reference to populist phenomena, declining them in relation to the evolution of the Italian legal system. Moving from this second point of view, the paper looks at both the national perspective of the majoritarian electoral system and the evolution and performance of the form of government of the Italian Regions.
