Abstract

Green blue Youth Vision 2030

In the European context, culture plays a crucial role in sustainable development strategies. The ‘UNESCO Culture 2030 Agenda’ framework highlights that cultural approaches could support sustainable policies also by enhancing the behavior of individuals and communities. In this perspective, the research aims to respond at the following questions: which cultural approaches are suitable for building a vision of sustainable development as a common good? Which actions and tools contribute in achieving the 2030 Agenda goals at the local scale? The ‘Green Blue Youth Vision 2030’ methodological approach explores the synergy between the cultural proposals of young experts under 35 by transforming the different dimensions of the ‘Culture 2030’ framework into actions and tools submitted to the direct and potential beneficiaries of the ‘Green Blue Days’, the first forum on systemic sustainability in Southern Italy. Research results demonstrate the key role of community, cooperation and creativity in operationalise a culture of sustainability strongly linked to taking care of collective space.
