The Question is History Itself: Whether it is Meaningful or not, is not for History to explain.

Abstract

Several definitions which have to do with the current reflection about the city, which for their very nature should be reassuring, are instead a source of uncertainty. Due to the ambiguosness of these definitions and the strange manipulations which they are subjected to, and the lack of any network of correlations which enliven them, make it so that on every one of these definitions there is a very fragile cognitive structures, without any solid, documented bases and above all these terms are always self referential. The text which follows asks several questions which arise from the confrontation with the reality of current urbanization.
