Abstract

The article illustrates and documents the didactic and scientific aims of the “G. Vico” Philosophical Prize, which for a decade has been operating on a national and international level, provoking a concrete and non-rhetorical comparison between high school and university studies without ever abandoning their respective specificities. In 2021 the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death was honoured, comparing themes and problems of his poetry with the philosophy of the author of the New Sciences in relation to the dimension of their civil commitment, while respecting the reality of their historical time and ours. In it, the issues of civil life have taken on the profiles and contents of the new subjective rights that have had an interdisciplinary relevance in schools as well, promoting the rethinking of the themes of global citizenship and their formative-educational sustainability.
