The conceptions of mental development processed by two great personalities of Psychology: Piaget and Vygotsky because these are the most important of this Century. The reasons for this significance are mainly two: the largeness and consistency of each conception from a theoretical point of view, reached through the interdisciplinary approach to problems adopted by both the authors; the great resonance that each of them has raised and raises not only in studies about mental development, but also in the knowledge and education in general.
