Philosophical Investigation and Ethical Choice for its Dissemination

Arising from the book by Diego Marconi, Il mestiere di pensare (Turin, Einaudi, 2014), the essay by Giuseppe Cacciatore focuses on the connection between the history of philosophy and theoretical philosophy, and the Rosario Diana’s work focuses on the problem of the diffusion of philosophical knowledge in analytical and continental scope. Cacciatore highlights the “utility” of the history of philosophy — as a source of problems and tools to compare with the present ones — for the theory. Diana identifies procedures — which defines of “dissemination” — addressed to smaller groups of people with the aim of disclosing the philosophy knowledges and of contributing to their social acceptance.
