Abstract

The author investigates the “Memory of Reformation” from a double perspective: He illustrates the history of the “Memoria” in the age of Lutheran Reform, by clarifying how Reformers and their followers understood memorial practices of lives and deaths in 16th Century; at the same time he reconstructs the way in which the Reform became the object of a reminiscent Memory during the 16th Century.
