Publication Ethics
Pagine Inattuali adopts the scientific evaluation system of the articles submitted to it known as “peer-reviewing”. Each text is assigned for reading to two referees whose identity will remain anonymous (double blind peer-review). Responsible for the refereeing process is the Editor in chief, in agreement with the Editorial Scientific Board of the review. The referees are identified on the basis of the quality and competence demonstrated.
The Editor in chief and Editorial Scientific Board of the Pagine Inattuali are responsible for the final decision on the publication of the proposed articles. This decision is made within a maximum of ninety days from the submission of the article by the author.
The Editor in chief and Editorial Scientific Board evaluate the articles proposed for publication on the basis of their content without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship, political orientation of the authors, or their academic affiliation.
The Editor in chief and Editorial Scientific Board undertake not to disclose information on proposed articles to other people with the exception of the author of the proposed article, the referees and the publisher. The editorial staff keeps in its own private archive the results of the refereeing processes of the essays, admitted and not, for publication.
The Editor in chief and Editorial Scientific Board undertake not to use the contents of an article proposed for publication in their research without the written consent of the author.
The Pagine Inattuali submits to the same anonymous evaluation procedure the contributions presented for publication by the Editor in chief and by the members of Editorial Scientific Board.
The Editor in chief and Editorial Scientific Board periodically check the peer-review process in order to introduce possible improvements. They also reserve the right to resort to a third referee in the event of a conflict between two opinions and if the decision to publish or not the essay cannot be resolved internally. The collaboration with a referee will remain permanently interrupted if the times and methods foreseen by the evaluation procedure have not been respected, in one or more moments.
