Abstract

Over the course of two decades, fascism built a highly touristy image of Naples, because the regime keened on tourism for a economic development of the province. As will be shown in this essay, the approach to this perspective was far from linear and obvious. Moreover, the tourist image of Naples was the result of a process of contamination of different elements, which led to the definition of Naples as «Frontier city» between the Twenties and Thirties.
