Abstract

Posthumanism offers a theoretical space for a critical visualization of pluralistically desirable futures, deconstructing the need for the constitution of the symbolic “Other”, and replacing the exclusivist patriarchal setting with a pluralist inclusivism, in tune with humanity as a form of existence in evolution, rich in diversity. If the fate of humanity is posthuman, our Posthumanism must be rooted in an extensive critical account of what it means to be human, in order to provide a strategic terminus a quo through which imagining next posthumanities which will call into question the traditional discourse of the "neutral" power (white, Western, male, heterosexual, etc..), and will prove to be inclusive for an increasing number of situated subjectivities.
