Author Biography

Maria Teresa Chialant, Università degli Studi di Salerno

M. T. Chialant, Full Professor of English Literature at  university of the Studies of Salerno. Her research is regarding of fiction in XIX and XX century and Gender Studies. Her publications, some of which appeared in England and in the United States, include numerous work and two books about  Dickens (one of which edited with Charles Pagetti), papers about George Gissing and H. G. Wells and the translation and editing of three late-Victorian narrative texts, among which Domani di Conrad (Palomar, 2008). She has edited in collaboration various collective volumes; among the most recent: Viaggio e letteratura (Marsilio, 2006), Literary Landscapes,Landscape in Literature (con M. Bottalico e E. Rao; Carocci, 2007), “Eve’s Ransom”. George Gissing e le sfide del romanzo tardo-vittoriano (Aracne, 2010) e Time and the Short Story.(con M. Lops; Peter Lang, 2012). She coordinates publishing series “Scritture d’Oltremanica” (Aracne).
