Abstract

INNER-ALTERNATE: A NEW MATTER OF URBAN PLANNING

The text focuses on a possible system of the different missions that the PNRR aims to achieve within a strategic contextual vision, able to tune the urgencies of an ecological transition, enhancing the landscape-infrastructure as a prerequisite for widespread regeneration and as a restart engine for local areas. As a work-in-progress practice, the strategic vision of Metropoli di Paesaggio - developing in the province of Ferrara - is explained, as a field of dialogue for a new planning issue: the capacity of territorial voids to generate figures of meaning like urban contexts do, starting from the interlacements that the continuous network of non-built spaces can guarantee, as a supporting frame on which the existing solids lean, get closer and find their raison d'être, connections, productivity,
sociality.
