Reviewers

The peer review process

The selection of reviewers for each proposal is the responsibility of the journal’s editors and takes into account expertise in Finno-Ugric studies, as well as in cultural and artistic history, literary theory, comparatistics, general and applied linguistics related to the area. Each publication proposal is first examined by at least one of the editors or members of the Scientific Committee, who, if they find it acceptable for the journal, send it to at least one reviewer (when no further opinions are needed) for in-depth evaluation. The method used is the ‘double blind’ review, in which the author does not know the name of his/her reviewer nor the reviewer that of the author. The purpose of the review is to provide the authors with a competent and reasoned opinion on the quality of the submission itself and, when necessary, to offer the authors guidance on how to improve their contributions. The journal’s editors are responsible for the final decision on the publication of articles.

Studi Finno-Ugrici publishes the list of reviewers on this page. If you have carried out a review for Studi Finno-Ugrici and your name does not appear on this list, please send a note to sfu@unior.it.
