The project "Ecclesiae Venetae". An inventory of five diocesan archives from the Veneto

This essay offers and exemplifies the findings of a project, funded by Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, that was carried out between 1996 and 1999. The project involved the elaboration of the inventory of the records held in the Episcopal archives in Verona, Padua, Treviso, Vicenza, and Vittorio Veneto. It followed the same criteria of the “Arca” project for the inventory of the records of the archives of the Patriarchate of Venice. The inventories are available online.
