Abstract

Does really mean a progress in scientific methods and quality of charters editions the employ of digital standard such as XML or TEI? In last years confidence has improved - among young scholars above all -, but practice and projects are not adequate till now. In this survey are fixed some points about context and by adjusting the focus on the specificity of this kind of document, to put back in its right perspective the significance and the utility of digital editions.
