On the ground of Paolo Evangelisti’s book, this essay dwells upon the use of the some concepts (e.g., the ideas of Passio Christi and Mistical Body, of reform, regarding social control and identity symbols, and of the sacred), in the context of the Franciscan thought about the State building.
