This paper presents an overview of the fundamental features (definition of the corpus, publication criteria, presentation of the documents) of the project for the new edition of the Codice Diplomatico Dantesco (CDD), which will be published in the series Nuova edizione commentata delle opere di Dante (new annotated edition of Dante’s works). It is introduced by a brief review of the work of Piattoli about Dante and his edition of the CDD.
