Abstract

DraA great territorial transformation that occurred in the 20th century, following the work of a complete land reclamation, has radically transformed the Pontine landscape from marsh to inhabited plain, with villages and towns of new foundation.

The contribution aims to highlight the changes that have defined new territorial identities and to recognize, where possible, the ‘mark points’ for an historical recognition of the places through some iconographic examples between 19th and 20th centuries.
