The paper concerns the role of the Sports Attorney General Office (Procura Generale dello Sport), a recently established Sports Justice body. In the polycentric Sports Justice system, it operates together with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office (Procura federale) in an additional and functionally conditional way. In accordance with the relevant provisions, it is involved in supervising the prosecuting and requester activities of Federal Prosecutor’s Office, and in requiring functions related to Sports Guarantee Committee. The reasons for the body establishment are remarkable, but some relevant critical implications are related to potential conflict of competence with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, also in consideration of the short regulation on power of avocation.
