Abstract

This contribution aims to provide a framework on the current situation of the rule of law in Germany, considering the issues addressed by the European Commission reports on the rule of law 2020 and 2021. It explores some of the core problems of the German pluralistic system, in particular the independence of the judiciary, the regulation of lobbying and the Covid-19 governance.
