The work explores the thematic links between jurisprudential theory and mathematics. After a brief review of the work that eminent mathematicians have carried out on topics of legal interest since the Enlightenment, some questions related to the characterization of logical processes in the two disciplines are examined. The third part of the work insists on some topics of applicative nature, such as the concept of probability in the two areas and the financial calculation linked to issues of legal interest, such as the usury rates and the valuation of derivative securities.
