Europol e ruolo dei Parlamenti (nazionali ed europeo): quali prospettive dopo il Trattato di Lisbona?

Abstract

The essay examines the current legislation on the European Police Office (Europol) and the oversight role played by the European and National Parliaments, concluding that after the Lisbon Treaty the Europol discipline is inadequate. Finally it analyses the Europol Regulation Proposal and the possible strengthening of the democratic control of the Agency.
