races – motor racing ¬– drivers – womenAbstract
Italian sports car racing is one of the most prestigious in the world but female presence in this field is not as significant as it could have been. Only few women have taken part in racing so far and not many of them have established a long and well-built career. This has been constantly reported since the beginning of this sport, both in Italian and international races. Over the years male drivers have became iconic figures celebrated all over the world, they symbolize success and talent also outside the racetrack. Differently, women have a secondary role, always considered terrible drivers and unable to compete at a high level, in this way the idea of motorsport as a man’s thing has been growing and women are still considered too weak to race nowadays.Downloads
