Art, and especially contemporary art, historically and culturally estabilished its foundation on autonomy and liberty (expressive, of contents, of communication possibilities) passing and exploring its limits and always taking its language a step beyond, also using the body itself as support and researching field. Revealing itself and to us looking at it, like in a mirror, how the body (offered as “artistic” and as out-of-everyday- life body), become through the experience a border of tensions, social expectations, issues of sharing and totalizing rules, fixed up from our birth and assigning people roles as well as desires. Through some artist’s work, here mentioned, who use body as language and, as a “relation” field with the “other”, art, from this point of view, investigate the question of difference (not the gap) between genders, nowadays more difficult to define, and mixing rules and “signes”, descloses the sense of masculine and feminine as one and inseparable vitality and energy, made of movable boundaries, which inhabit men as well as women, over genders and roles.Downloads
