Because of the «globalisation» of philosophy, as it results from the last World Congresses of FISP (Seul 2008, Athens 2013), the «great divide» between «analytic» and «continental» philosophers has lost the most part of its representativeness. This dichotomy indicated, in fact, an opposition not only between two ways of doing philosophy, but also between two geographical areas, the central and south Europe v/s the north Europe and the English speaking America. Today other continents are the seat of an intense philosophical activity, i. e. Asia, Africa and Latin America, and it is impossible to say, without an appropriated statistical research, in which measure the two traditional ways of doing philosophy are present in these areas. Philosophy seems to be contended by two opposite tendencies, the universalistic one, represented by the sciences, and the particularistic one, represented by the humanities (literature, art, religion).Downloads
