Abstract

This contribution constitutes the reply (in a first part) to a review of some articles published in a journal of historical linguistics by an author who died shortly thereafter. Strengthened by the authoritative observations made available, in the present reply we confirm the validity of the theses sustained in the articles object of the review itself.
