Author Biography

Mir Ali, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA

Backed by strong international academic and professional careers, Professor Ali’s research revolves around tall building design, its structure, history, sustainability, and mitigation against natural disasters. With experience at firms such as Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill and Sargent & Lundy, as well as consultancy for numerous domestic and international projects, he blends his real world design experience and academic research in his classroom instruction. He has authored / co-authored six books related to tall buildings.
